Card Data
The following is a list of all the available data you can provide for each card in your inventory. Not all fields are required, but the more data you provide, the more powerful whuppit becomes, particularly the filtering and reporting capabilities.
General Fields
- Year The year of the card. Example: For 2024 Panini Prizm, the year would be “2024”.
- Name The name of the card or set. Example: For 2024 Panini Prizm, the name would be “Panini Prizm”.
- Parallel The name of the parallel/variety of the card. Example: Silver Prizm
- Print Run Used if the card is serial numbered. This is the total print run of the card. Example: 99
- Card Number The number of the card. Example: 292
- Player The first and last name of the player on the card.
- Card Type Either “Raw” if the card is ungraded, or “Graded” if the card has been graded.
- Sport The sport of the card. Example: Football.
- Notes A long form text field that you can use to leave any notes to yourself that might be useful in the future about the card or condition of the card.
- Status The card “status”. The following statuses are currently supported (you do not need to use them all):
- Incoming: Meant to signify if the card is currently on its way to you.
- Will Grade: Mean to signify that you’ve evaluated the card and intend to grade it.
- In-Hand: You currently have the card in your possession, but it is not currently up for sale.
- Grading: The card is currently out for grading.
- For Sale: The card is currently listed for sale somewhere.
- Sold: The card has been sold.
- In PC: You’ve added the card to your personal collection.
- Vaulted: The card has been sent off to a vault. (Ex: The PSA vault)
- Comp Value The current value of the card based on recent sales or market trends. This value is used to estimate potential profit/loss, or for personal collection valuation.
- Asking Price The price you're asking for this card. This price is only used for collections that you share publicly, and have set to “Show Prices”.
- Autographed Indicates whether the card is autographed (”Yes”) or not (”No”)
Purchase Details
- Purchase Price How much you paid for the card. For the most accurate data, it’s highly recommended that this be the final price you paid, inclusive of any tax and shipping costs.
- Purchase Date The date you acquired the card. For cards that you can’t remember when you obtained them, or that have been in your PC for years, you can choose an arbitrary date.
- Source Where you purchased the card from. Example: eBay
- Seller The seller you bought the card from. While this field is not required, using it does give you access to seller reports so you can see which sellers tend to sell you cards that grade well.
Grading Details
The following fields are only available if the card has a type of “Graded” or a status of “Will Grade”. In all other situations, these fields are hidden.
- Order ID If the card is associated with a submission in whuppit, this is the ID of that grading submission.
- Grading Cost The cost paid to grade the card. If the card is associated with a submission in whuppit, the grading cost will be calculated automatically.
- Grading Company The company that graded the card. If the card is associated with a submission in whuppit, the grading company will be automatically set to match the one associated with the order.
- Cert Number The grading certificate number. If the card has a valid certificate number, and the grading company is set to PSA (or the card is associated with a submission that has the grading company set to PSA), whuppit will automatically attach the front and back images of the card from PSA’s database.
- Pre-Grade The grade you predict the card will get. While this field is not required, it is highly encouraged as tracking your pre-grade accuracy over time is a powerful way to improve your accuracy and get more reliable grading results.
- Grade The grade the card received.
- Autograph Grade If the card is autographed and the autograph was graded, this is the grade of that autograph.
Sales Details
The following fields only appear if the card has a status of “Sold”. In all other cases, the fields are hidden.
- Sales Price The final sales price. For the most accurate profit and ROI data, it’s highly recommended that this be the final price you receive after subtracting any selling fees or shipping costs.
- Date Sold The date the card was sold.
- Marketplace The marketplace where the card was sold. Example: COMC
- Listing Type The type of listing. Either “Auction” or “Fixed Price”.
